Training for the Under 11s age group starts week commencing 25 April 2022 on a Saturday morning at Furze Platt Senior School (SL6 7NQ) nets from 9.00am to 11.00am, weather permitting. The Under 11s Managers are Pete Brown and Pawan Sharma. The Under 11s have two sessions:
Friday nights at PGCC:
6.30pm - 8.00pm. These are more of a fun session run by parent coaches, mainly using (softer) Incrediballs. As these sessions are run purely on a volunteer basis there might be some Fridays that aren't possible but we will let you know.
Saturday mornings:
9.00am - 11.00am. These sessions are full hardball cricket training at Furze Platt Senior School nets and it is appreciated that your child attends training on a regular basis. The Managers, Pete Brown and Pawan Sharma, request as a minimum your child has the following kit - helmet, box, batting pads, batting gloves (wicket keeping gloves if a wicket keeper) and a bat. Where a member has no hardball experience the Managers will want to see the player in the nets to ascertain their suitability for hardball game play. The focus for 2022 will centre around skills in batting, bowling and fielding. All players on game days must have a PGCC top and cricket white trousers.
Full hard ball kit is required. We do have some kit at the Club that can be borrowed but your child's size cannot be guaranteed but we ask that players provide their own box and helmet as a minimum. Please email if you have any questions on kit.
